This is the official page of Canadian inter-media artist, publisher and designer (web and print), Marlene Lacey. Marlene has worked with Internet services as it emerged in post-secondary education services. When the Internet became publicly available in the mid-nineties, she began developing websites and has trained others to do likewise. Since the mid-eighties, she supported the use of computers in academic, administration, corporate and private sectors, providing customized group and individual training courses. She continues to explore emerging technical resources watching and attempting to thwart emerging escalation of security problems. She has developed and designed both large- and small-scale, content-rich websites. She takes pride in having developed and integrated print and digital products that enabled individuals, organizations and businesses to focus on their goals and to communicate and market more effectively. While now semi-retired, she still likes to trouble shoot, optimize workflow, improve communication and develop visuals to convey meaningful content. Content is still king and Marlene continues to enjoys the iterative process of culling, editing, organizing and honing information.<\/p>\n

\"Writing<\/p>\n

Her company, Blue Grama Publications has hosted and managed a wide variety of websites integrating digital and print realms as an inter-media publisher.<\/p>\n

She has a passion for fine art and she loved to take photographs, created handmade paper and sculptures, and played with audio and film.  She built a library of images with a focus on people and landscapes of Canada, particularly the Southern Alberta region. She has authored, co-authored and published book titles and websites, with graphic design and editing particular strengths.  <\/p>\n

She believes education is a personal and life-long responsibility and continues to pursue interests in music, philosophy, poetry, and cooking.<\/p>\n
