Tremors and after-shocks catapult change that forever alters geological and human landscapes, shifts direction, and gives birth to freshly-exposed terrain. Historic moments create multiple streams of rippling change.<\/p>\n<p>Struck by these moments, in <em>Illegal Combinations<\/em> Hildebrandt revisits Glasgow 1787 history, Dakota\u2019s conflict years and visits London and Cuba, 2011. Exposing the past, his poetic probe relinks the present to history; his educated eye \u201cre-peers\u201d history. Through his words, we see past the spasms of change that shook us. Discrete events become continuous and we refin\/ed our foundations.
