Garden Produce

A late spring and an unusual amount of rainfall this year, our Lethbridge garden produced a collection of vegetables:  Zucchini, green beans, peas, beets.

Produce

Peas, green beans, zucchini, beets

The beets are strangely different in color.  A seed tape was used in the planting.  The seeds on the tape must descend from different parents.

Beets

cooked beets seasoned with butter, salt and lemon juice

I wash the beet well and cook with the skin on.  We eat all parts of the beet seasoned with a little butter, salt and a dash of lemon juice.

Mock Orange

…and the orange blossoms break open scenting the air.

Does this look like an ice cream cone to you?
